PCM High School´s Fall Production

The PCM High School is putting on a fall play production called ¨Lavender & Lunatics¨ by Tony Howell. The main character is Lorelei Lavender who is played by Jordan VanderWerf. Another character named Juliet Lavender is played by Piper Clark. The fall play is about, ¨my character Lorelei Lavender who is trying to save her family’s theater,¨ VanderWerf said, ¨so she is putting on a production of A Midsummer Night Dream which is a Shakespeare play so there is just a lot of drama in that and it’s a play inside a play there are these robbers that are coming in and she has taken out a big loan for this play so there is a lot of shenanigans that are happening.¨

Juliet lavender is Clark´s character, ¨my role is Juliet Lavender and Hermia, Juliet plays Hermia inside the play because its a play inside a play,¨ Clark said, ¨my character Juliet she’s very dramatic the entire play and she’s yelling and running and doing a bunch of stuff.¨ The cast does rehearsals in preparation for the show, ¨rehearsals are really fun right now since we are so close to the first performance,¨ VanderWerf said, ¨we have just been running through both acts and trying to put in all the lights, sound and everything else.¨

Opening night for some of the cast can be their favorite thing about performing, ¨my favorite thing about performing is probably opening night. Clark said, ¨I love getting in front of all of the people for the first time and like doing the show like for real and everybody having all the costumes on and it’s awesome.¨ The crew members are getting their props soon so as of now they just sit and watch and enjoy the show. If you want to come and support the cast and crew with their fall play you can come to the PCM Middle School auditorium on the 10 and 11 of Nov. at 7 p.m. You can also come to the show on the 12 of Nov. at 1 p.m.
