Q&A with PCM Mustangs Football season leaders!

The season leaders this football season for PCM are junior Gavin VanGorp for passing with 48/80 C/A, 744 YDS, 8 TDS, and 151 RUS, junior Adrien Robbins for rushing with 151 ATT, 1063 YDS, & 15 TDS, senior Griffin Olson received 15 REC, 261 YDS, & 5 TDS, junior Finn Wilson with 40.5 TKL, 1.0 TFL, and 1 FR, and sophomore Dominic Witt for kicking with 1793 YDS and a 23/23 PAT. Below are interviews with 3 of these leaders!

Dominic Witt

Q- “What’s your favorite part of the season so far?”

A- “My favorite part is Homecoming.”

Q- “What’s the team’s pre-game warmup?”

A- “We do form running”

Q- “What’s your pre-game ritual?” 

A- “I go to the 45, I get the kickoff tee and I kick off to the returners, then I set up the net and I kick field goals into the net.”

Q- “What did you do to prepare for the season?¨ 

A- “In the off-season I strived to be more flexible and I really practiced on my touchbacks and distance.”

Q- ¨What is Count The Kicks?¨

A- “Count the Kicks is a program that I am part of. I think the leader is Keith Duncan. Count the Kicks is counting the kicks of pregnant women when they are pregnant, it helps save them.”

 

 

Adrien Robbins

Q- “What’s your favorite memory of this season?”

A- ¨My favorite memory of this season is all the boys getting together and doing hitting drills together before our game when it got delayed and then canceled at Union.¨

Q- “What’s your pre-game warmup?”

A- ¨My pre-game warmup is before every game I have to go to Casey´s and buy their pastry before every game.”

Q- “How did you prepare for this season?¨

A- “We (Adrien & Gavin) both came in a lot during the  summer on our own and did a lot of drills together; that’s one way we prepared ourselves.”

Q- ¨What got you into football?¨

A- ¨It started when I was really young, my mom and dad introduced me to it and I´ve played it ever since. I love it¨

 

 

 

Gavin VanGorp

Q- “What’s your favorite memory of this season?”

A- “My favorite memory is probably when Mark was drawing on the boards before the games.¨

Q- “What’s your pre-game warmup?”

A- “I’d say my pre-game warmup is to listen to some Drake.

Q- “How did you prepare for this season?¨

A- “I would say a lot over this summer we trained a lot to prepare for the season and just get our bodies right.” 

Q- ¨What got you into football?¨

A- “To be honest, I like the Packers and I was in love with Aaron Rodgers.”
