Boys golf comes in first again

by Brad McClellan

The PCM Boys golf team had a home meet on April 25 to face off against six other teams. PCM won the tournament with 319 total, Boone came in second with 336, Grinnell scored third with 337, DMC came in fourth at 353, Chariton managed to get fifth scoring 361, Bondurant Farrar made sixth with 367, and Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont came in last with 418.

Coming in first on the team was Reed Worth with 78, Ryan Hill came in with a close second with 79, Jackson Thomas got an 80, Noah Lanphier had an 82, Dayton Boell also got an 82, and Andrew VanRysWyk had an 84.

“The season is going well so far. The boys have won 3 tourneys in a row which is really good. Many of the players have contributed to the success so far.  Our depth seems to be a strength of this team. We still need work on our short game and staying away from letting one shot or one poor hole bother us to much and just move on to the next shot or hole.” said Coach Hill
