Exciting victory for PCM boys’ soccer

by Caleb Peter

The PCM boys’ JV and varsity soccer team played Chariton on Thursday evening, April 20. The trip was an hour long but it turned out to be worth it. The JV and varsity both won.

The JV team won 3-1 and the varsity won 1-0. Freshman Jason Stafford scored the goal for PCM and senior Graham Davis got the assist. With another win in the books, the team is now 2-7 for the season.

“We had a good amount of communication and we didn’t force balls. We just played the short passes, we just stuck to the game plan. We moved a lot of plays around to get good minutes and good energy,” said junior Misha Seebeck. “We just played soccer tonight. we had quality touches and sometimes we would break down but we just didn’t give up and break our concentration.”

The team played Friday night at CMB and the next time they play is Friday, April 28 at Grinnell.
