Thursday, December 21 is set for semester test make-up day. This means if any student misses
any semester test with an excused absence they are allowed to make their test up by scheduling
a time with the teacher of the test they missed. Students are NOT allowed to change their

semester test schedule on 12/19 or 12/20 for convenience.
Students are expected to stay in their testing period until the end of the designated
testing time except on the last testing periods of the day. Once a student finishes a test in

period 7 (Tues.) or 8 (Weds.) they are allowed to leave.

Students are allowed to leave during lunch periods, study halls, and any tests they’ve opted
out of. Students in grades 10-12 can opt out of 2 classes if they meet the criteria, with
freshmen students receiving 1 this semester. If any student in grades 9-12 is passing all of
his/her classes they are granted 1 opt-out to use in a class they have an 80% or higher in.
Students in grades 10-12 can receive an extra opt-out for Spring ISASP (Iowa Statewide
Assessment of Student Progress) scores which they can if they are passing all classes and
have an 80% or above in the class they’re opting out of.

Students must let their teacher
know if they are opting out of a class by the date required by the teacher.
Students are allowed open campus lunch on both of the testing days. Just make sure they
are back before the next testing period starts or they will not be allowed to take the test.
