This year at the PCM High School there are 3 new staff members. Taylor brown, Jesse DeGeest and Taelor Derrickson. Brown and Derrickson are both new to the district while DeGeest is a returning staff member after a short time away.
Taylor Brown
Q- Tell me about your role at PCM? A-¨I am a English teacher.¨
Q- How many years have you been teaching? A-¨This is my ninth year.¨
Q- What brought you to PCM? A-¨I am from PCM.¨
Q- What are you looking forward to this year? A-¨I’m looking forward to just being at the highschool again.¨
Q- If you could have any job besides teaching what would you do? A-¨A child’s life specialist.¨
Jesse DeGeest
Q- Tell me about your role at PCM? A-¨I am a special education lead at the high school, so what this means I am just like any other special education teacher however I take on a little bit more coordinating things across all the buildings.¨
Q- How many years have you been teaching? A-¨This is my tenth year teaching.¨
Q- What brought you back to PCM? A-¨I love PCM, had it not been for the unique opportunity that my wife and I had to go traveling for a year I would have never left in the first place.¨
Q- What are you looking forward to this year? A-¨Getting back into school and just to meet everybody again.¨
Q- If you could have any job besides teaching what would you do? A-¨A park ranger at one of the national parks.¨
Taelor Derrickson
Q- Tell me about your role at PCM? A-¨I am the business teacher so I teach Computer apps and I also teach Accounting, Sports marketing and Intro to Business¨
Q- Tell me about your role with The Crimson Cup? A-¨I’m basically just the adult in charge so I am the one who deals with all the money and transactions.¨
Q- How many years have you been teaching? A-¨This is my first year teaching.¨
Q- What brought you to PCM? A-¨I really loved how small the school was.¨
Q- What are you looking forward to this year? A-¨Just getting to experience meeting all the students¨
Q- If you could have any job besides teaching what would you do? A-¨I would own a bookstore that also has a bakery and coffee shop in it.¨
