Mustangs run over Norsemen

by Tyler Foster

Last Friday, for the third-straight game, the PCM Mustangs girls’ varsity basketball team won big by a score of 60-38. The girls are now 3-0 in conference play and 3-1 on the year.
Seniors Rachel Gulling, Rachel Freland and Courtney Van Houweling all scored 15 points each. Gulling recorded a double-double, tallying 10 rebounds, six of those offensive. Another highlight for the girls were the 17 steals the team recorded. The team shot very well as a team for the most part, shooting nearly 41-percent from inside the three-point arc. However only shot 26-percent from outside the arc.
Freland said, “We rushed somethings at times and didn’t quite get the right shots. We missed more than we should. Rachel Gulling stepped up, drove it in and did work. Hopefully we can continue to play well as a team like we have, and also have each others backs.”
The team will play tomorrow night, Dec. 12, against CMB. Marking a fourth-straight road game of a five-game road trip.
