On January 14th the PCM girls’ varsity basketball team traveled to Story City looking for a good game. The girls lead the whole game and won, 48-42.
It was a tough game, but with great offense the girls seemed to take ahead of their opponents.
“I felt the young ladies played a very good and competitive game. The ladies gave all they had against one of the best teams in the state. Offensively, I thought we executed pretty well. Defensively, I thought we did a good job against a very potent team. I’m very proud of the ladies and the effort they put forth,” Head Coach Jeff Lindsay said.
When asked how the team played up to expectations, sophomore Morgan Uhlenhopp said, “The team played well, and never got down on themselves.”
Senior Kayla Jennings scored the most points with 21, and senior Katie VandeWall managed to grab six rebounds.
The girls are 9-3 this season and seem to be putting up a fight in every game they attend.
