At this time, I am writing this. I’m a junior, and I feel like I’m running out of time, even though I have a year left until I go to college, and I wish I had more time. I can proudly say I know what my top three colleges are: third is Central College, second is Wartburg College, and my number one is the University of Northern Iowa. Why would I go to these schools? With my third, it’s because I went there for an Honour Choir performance, and this year I plan on going again, as this will be my third time. I really love the food they have there, and on Tuesday it’s cookie day, and the cookies are bomb there, that´s good. I’ve been to that town before, and it´s really nice, but on to my second option,
Wartburg College offers Music Therapy as a major, which I can pursue, and it’s really good for me, as I want to become a music therapist. However, there are some downsides to consider if I choose to pursue this path. I have never been there, and I don´t know anyone there. Secondly, it´s not a public school, so it´s more expensive, so I have to make more money, but I know for sure I have at least $26K. I could have more, but I don´t have a clue. I want to live a bit well off, so I need to get a job to pay for more of my college, and I will go in the National Guard to hopefully pay for my schooling.
Now on to my number one, the University of Northern Iowa. I have been to the dome for UNI band day, but what is UNI band day? It´s where you play on the field, and the music you play is popular, and it is so fun. After we’re done, we get to watch the football game. I know the students and the Marching band director, Dr Mertz, who is a really nice guy, and for me it was really easy to get along with him. The University of Northern Iowa feels right to me because of the people and the community there. It makes me feel like I´m welcomed. Which one should I choose? But now, what about after college, where do I go from there? If you want to know more, stay tuned and wait for my next entry.
