On Saturday, April 11, some PCM Band and Choir students are heading to Pella Christian High School in Pella to perform their solo/small ensemble.
Choir director Mr. Riordan says the reason students in band or choir should participate in solo/small ensemble is to challenge themselves, but this is more geared towards juniors or seniors. Mr. Riordan also states that they are similar, as you both perform at a higher level and work hard to get a Division I. Most of these students started to work on these pieces in the fall of this school year.
This year has a lot of students going; this is the most Mr. Riordan has sent to solo/ensemble, and he is very happy that a lot of brave freshmen are trying it this year.
