PCM volleyball girls had another disappointing night on Sept. 18 at their home game, losing to Gilbert 3-1.
To start the night, everything was looking good as the Mustangs won the first match 25-22, but that didn’t last long. The team lost the last four matches 25-19, 25-12 and 25-17.
“We’re not bad, but our attitudes are,” sophomore Katie Vande Wall said. “If we make a mistake, we get down really fast, so we need to keep our heads up.”
Senior Courtney Van Houweling led the team with 12 kills. Also, another senior, Mackenzie Clark, went out with the most amount of digs with a total of 13. Junior Ashley Van Gorp went home with the best serving average of 20-21 with three aces. Sophomore Kayla Jennings led the team with 16 assists.
Come support the volleyball girls at their tournament this Saturday, Sept. 27, at Nevada High School at 8:30.
