Mustang volleyball struggles at Bondurant tournament
by Drew Johnson
On the 8th of August the Mustangs couldn’t find their stride, losing five out of six games. After losing their fifth game of the day and eighth game of the season, they turned things around to pull off their first win with a 2-0 sweep against West Marshall.
“Our coach keeps telling us that we need to talk,” junior Katie Vande Wall said. She had three kills in the match against Boon.
After tough losses against the bigger schools they were able to gel as a team and end the tournament with a win against West Marshall. The Mustangs hope to improve in their next game, held at Pella Christian on Friday, Sept. 11, at 4:30 p.m.
