On the afternoon of May 15, the Mustang girls’ varsity golf team stampeded on to Colfax-Mingo. PCM only brought three golfers, but that didn’t stop them from doing well individually.
Sophomore Bre Maher carded a 44, ultimately winning the meet. Placing fifth was junior Abby VanHaaften carding a 61. Freshman Ellie Steenhoek wasn’t far behind with a 68.
“Our team has improved a lot since the season began. I’m really proud of our team, and all that we’ve accomplished.” Steenhoek said.
The next meet for the girls will be on Tuesday, May 26. Time is to be decided.
