Gilbert galavants home after victory over PCM

by Ryan Kohlhof

It was Tuesday the 8th that the PCM boys’ soccer team hoped to defend their home turf against Gilbert. That humid day led to a little bit of humility for the Mustangs, as they were defeated 9-0.
The game was tough for PCM, as right from the start Gilbert took charge. Gilbert held all the momentum in the first half with a score of 6-0. The Mustangs needed to pick up the pace and turn the tables. Unfortunately for PCM, they couldn’t, and all the Mustangs could do was hold on and give it all they had. Gilbert, on the other hand, continued with the momentum, scoring another three points to finish the game 9-0.
“We continually need to work on possessing the ball, control and bring more intensity to the games.” Coach Darrin Telfer said.
The Mustangs’ next game is Tuesday, May 19, at Des Moines Christian.
