About the Contributors
Lily Ladehoff, Staff Writer
My name is Lily Ladehoff and I am a Senior at PCM High School. I love being in Journalism because I love documenting all the fun memories and cool activities that happen during my high school years. Currently I am also a member of the PCM Dance Team, Captain of Varsity Football Cheerleading, a member of the Pat Barton Competitive Dance Team, All-Iowa Honor Dance Team, Concert Choir, National Honor Society, TAG, Youth Group, and Student Government. My favorite food is watermelon and my favorite Disney princess is Rapunzel. In my free time I like to spend time with friends, be outside, and play piano or ukulele. I’m excited to improve my writing and editing skills in class this year!
Rylee Gallaher, Staff Writer
My name is Rylee Gallaher and I have been in Journalism for one and a half years. I am involved in throwing on our PCM Track and Field team. A few things that I love doing in my free time would be lifting weights, writing stories, driving around listening to music, and watching Netflix. I took Journalism this year because I enjoy writing stories and researching information that is happening in our community. I encourage everyone to do something that is out of their comfort zone and try new classes.
Will Vanderpool, Staff Writer
This is my first year in Journalism. I took this class because the people in previous years had fun in this class writing articles and filming ThunderTV. I play football, wrestle, soccer, and track. In my free time I like to play games with the boys and hang out with friends.
Justin Hall, Staff Writer
I’m Justin Hall and this is my first year doing Journalism. My work here often focuses on systemic issues and the stories of the people who face them. In my sparse free time, I can be found watching YouTube and movies or playing a number of different video games. Though most of the time I am engrossed in schoolwork, When I can find the time I do also enjoy reading books and essays on a wide range of topics from 19th and 20th-century philosophy, to obscure or forgotten art and media. The influence of these works can likely be seen across my body of work. Similar to my taste elsewhere, I tend to enjoy mellow music; things like modern psychedelia, 2000’s folk and indie rock, and 60s or 70s jazz and fusion constitute a majority of what I can be found listening to on any given day. Inside and outside of school, I can typically be found in a library or coffee shop with my laptop open and headphones around my neck.
