Gray clouds were blowing in and building upon the morning of April 18. Despite the forecast calling for the rain and the clouds promising it, the PCM girls’ soccer team made their way to Newton to play against the Cardinals and hope for a win. Luckily, the rain held off until after the game was over, but the Mustangs did not win. The Cardinals won 10-0.
The girls also went up against Perry the same day, but the Mustangs came up short one, with Perry winning the game 2-1.
“While we had lost both games, I believe we did really well. Sure, there are things that need improvement, but there’s always things to improve. Copared to last year, we’ve already done a lot better and I’m confident in my fellow teammates and our coaches that we’ll continue to do so,” junior Jordyn Mixdorf said.
The next game will be at home against Ballard at 5:30 p.m on Tuesday, April 28.
