The PCM baseball team has already gotten a head start on the upcoming season. The team will start its a six week “Spring League,” where they play teams from around the area during the weekends. Games are usually played at 1:30 on Sunday afternoon. PCM is joined by Dallas-Center Grimes, Norwalk, Pella, Saydel and North Polk in the league.
Head coach Shaun Hudnut said, “Spring League provides an opportunity for our players to pitch to a live batter and see live pitching, which provides a jump start to our season. I’m looking forward to the journey that each team goes through [each season]. It’s gratifying to watch how a group of individuals can come together as a team, when they trust the process and have the right attitude.”
The Mustangs officially start the season against Greene County on Tuesday, May 26 at home. Another key game for the Mustangs will be on Monday, June 15, as the Mustangs will play the Gilbert Tigers at Principal Park in Des Moines at noon. So go mark your calendars for the upcoming season!
