Life sciences teacher Erin Wood has taught in the PCM school district for seven years.

Q. What is your name and what do you do?

A. My name is Erin Wood and I teach science at PCM High School.

Q. Where did you grow up?

A. I grew up in Monroe.

Q. What college did you go to?

A. I went to many colleges but I graduated from Simpson.

Q. What did you want to be when you grew up?

A. I wanted to be a physical therapist.

Q. Did that work out or did you end up doing something else?

A. I ended up working for corporate wellness.

Q. What made you become a teacher?

A. I realized I had the opportunity to do different things every day and I could interact with other people.

Q. How long have you been teaching?

A. Two years at the middle school, and five years at the high school.

Q. What is your goal for this year?

A. I want to intentionally give feedback for my students.

Q. What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

A. Mint chocolate chip.

Q. Do you have any pets?

A. I have a mastiff named Payton.

Q. What is your favorite color?

A. My favorite color is green.

Q. What is your choice of potato chips?

A. I like wavy Lay’s chips.
