Turning up at Gilbert

On Jan. 15, the Mustang wrestlers made their way to Gilbert for the invitational against Gilbert, Colfax-Mingo and Panorama. The only team to triumph over PCM was Gilbert.
Gilbert defeated PCM 51-30. Mustang senior Jaret Maggard, weighing 182, pinned his opponent in 41 seconds, helping get the team up in the ranks by gaining six points. There were a total of five falls from PCM.
The match against Panorama came out with PCM on top, 53-30 in their favor. Sophomore Xavier Miller, weighing 120, defeated his opponent in 1:17, adding six points to PCM’s growing number. A total of five falls, three forfeits and one technical fall were given by PCM during the match.
PCM defeated Colfax-Mingo 60-24. Senior Skylar Koder, weighing 152, gained his team a total of six points when he beat his opponent in 28 seconds. PCM had a total of three falls and seven forfeits during the match.
The next time to watch the PCM wrestlers will be at Gilbert on Jan. 24 for the Varsity Conference.
