PCM girls’ soccer fights hard

by Chance Palm

The PCM girls’ soccer team hosted the Des Moines Christian(DMC) Lions on April 17, in Prairie City, following an exciting first win verses Grand View Christian at home. The girls were ready to battle and add another win to the record sheet. Unfortunately for the girls, the Lions put up five goals to the Mustangs’ zero. This gives the PCM soccer girls their second loss of the season. DMC wins 5-0.

Following the unfortunate loss on April 17 the PCM girls had another game on their mind. On April 19, the girls sought to beat the Collins-Maxwell Spartans. They geared up and traveled to Maxwell. The game was a struggle for the PCM girls. However, they never gave up until after the final second left the clock.

Freshman Bella Stone said, “They beat us, but we went pretty song throughout the entire game.”

The game ended and the score was in favor of Collins-Maxwell 3-0.

The PCM soccer girls will have another crack at Collins-Maxwell tomorrow, April 27. The game will be away again so be sure to cheer for the Mustangs at Collins-Maxwell at 5:30.
