The PCM girls’ volleyball team squared off against South Hamilton on Oct. 3 in front of their home crowd. The girls were unable to come out with a winning set but still competed nonetheless. The final scores were 25-9, 25-20 and 25-16 in the Hawks favor.
Junior Maddie Samson had five kills on the night as well as going nine for nine behind the service line. Senior Madison Foster had five assist and went eight for eight while serving.
North Polk is a tough team that boasts a 17-11 record on the year. Foster is looking forward to their last home game against North Polk tonight at 7:30 p.m.
When asked about preparation for the final games on the season Foster said, “We just need to keep a positive attitude and work together as a team. Our coach is very honest and she makes us better athletes by telling us things we need to work on not only individually but also as a team.”
