Thumped by Cubs

by Sabrina Reed

On Sept. 26, the Mustang volleyball girls faced off against the Nevada Cubs at home. The girls lost all three matches with scores of 25-10, 25-13 and 25-10, respectively.

Some highlights of that nights game were junior Maddie Samson leading in kills with five. Sophomore Shelby Voeller and senior Madison Foster tied with four assists. Samson also dominated the night with 13 attack attempts.

“We were not performing like we usually do,” Foster said. “I think if we play how we know to we will be good.”

The girls are still pushing for the end of the year, and are preparing for regional playoffs. Their next match is at Greene County on Oct. 10. This match will be played in the middle school.
