PCM girls golf gets back on track with a 9-hole meet win

PCM girls golf placed first in a 3 team meet on 5/2. Jewel Valley golf course was the location of the meet, and Ballard was the school that hosted it. This was only the third 9 hole meet of the season for the Mustangs. PCM scored a combined 203 in the meet which was enough to beat South Hamilton’s 211 and Ballard’s 212.
Junior Madeline Mitchell was a medalist and she shot a team high 44. Head coach Val Edwards said, “ I was really happy for Madeline on her medalist honors.”
Senior Bre Maher wasn’t far behind with a 46. Junior Sabrina Reed and Sophomore Lexi Reed were the last two counting scores with a 51 and a 61. Ellie Steenhoek and Mack Bussan shot non counting scores of 63 and 72. Edwards said, “ We finally had a sunny day for our meet, and we took advantage of it.” The Mustangs next meet will be played at Colfax Country Club on May 12.
