The PCM boys golf team found themselves in yet another competitive meet in Ames. They came away with a second place finish at a meet that was hosted by Gilbert, and was located at Ames Country Club. The Mustangs shot a combined score of 171, which put them far behind Gilbert’s first place score of 157. Roland Story placed third and was right on the Mustangs heels with a score of 177.
Head Coach Dale Vander Linden said, “ The team played well, but we can always improve. We’ll continue to practice hard, and hopefully we can play even better next week.”
All of the PCM boys shot in the 40’s in the meet. Sophomore Reed Worth led the team shooting a 41. Junior Noah Lanphier wasn’t far behind as he shot a 42.
The team’s next meet is at Bos Landen golf course on May 12.
