Mustang boys place decent at CMB

The Mustang boys’ track team traveled to a varsity meet looking for some competition on March 27 at CMB. The boys placed third overall and had many notable performances.

Sophomore Preston VanWyks 11.83 second 100 meter dash, and junior Noah Anderson ran a 22.88 second 200 meter dash. Freshman Noah Hirayama ran a 59.56 for the 400, while senior Ethan Web ran a 1:01. For the 800 Chris Ellens ran a 2:11, Ellens also managed to get a 10:20 for the two mile. Freshman Connor Fagen got a 5:35 for the mile, and not far behind was junior Blake Lee with a 5:39.

For the 110 meter hurtles sophomore Cole Dustin ran a 15.72. In the 400 meter hurtles Freshman Nigel Sperfslage got a 1:04. Senior Leevi Telfer threw 41 feet for shot put, and 111 feet for discus.

they had a great performance and seem to have quite a season ahead of them.

“We were led by our sprint relays and had a season’s best time in the 4X100 Relay. Cole Dustin also had a season’s best time in the 110 High Hurdles. Noah Clark was unable to participate due to injury. Chris Ellen’s easily won the 3200 run” said assistant coach Joel Grier.

You can see the boys in action tonight at 4:30 p.m. at the boys varsity meet at ADM.
