The PCM varsity soccer team faced off against 3A opponents Benton and Ottawa on April fools day, but they struggled to finish offensively.
Their first game against Benton ended in a 6-0 defeat. Benton scored three in the first half and three in the second half sealing their victory over the Mustangs. Benton was aggressive and physical the entire game, making it difficult for the mustangs to produce anything offensively.
In the more evenly-matched game against Ottumwa, the Mustangs definitely were able to control the ball for longer and had some better runs, but still lost 3-0.
