It was a “no contest” game from the beginning as the Mustang girls smashed the Saydel Eagles 68-15 to notch another win in the books last Friday, Dec. 2 at home. The girls started strong and finished even stronger to maintain their flawless record, now 4-0.
Senior Kayla Jennings led the team in scoring with 16 points.
“Being a senior, I knew I had to step up and be a leader for the team and set an example for the underclassmen,” said Jennings. “The varsity team put in a lot of extra time during the off-season. We participated in the Grand View basketball league and attended open gym as much as we could.”
Senior Kaylee Townsend added 14 points to the cause, shooting 88% from the field and blocking three shots. Senior Katie VandeWall snagged 10 rebounds for the Mustangs.
