Three PCM dancers came out on top when they auditioned for the 2015 All-Iowa Honor Dance
Team. Altogether, six PCM dancers traveled to Ames High School for the Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Association tryouts for the 2015 All-Iowa Honor Dance Team on Sept. 6. Those members were seniors Ashlyn Breckenridge and Taylor Phifer; juniors Samantha Rosonke and Olivia Olson and sophomores Kelsie Dehaai and Courtney Bridges.
Judges chose dancers for two specialty halftime sections of Pom and Kick along with Pre-Game performers. More than 500 high school dancers from across the state of Iowa auditioned. Breckenridge, Phifer and Rosonke made it onto the 2015 All-Iowa Honor Dance Team for Pom.
“I was really excited to find out I was selected for All-Iowa. It’s a great opportunity, and I can’t wait to perform with dancers from across the state in March,” said Rosonke.
Olson, DeHaai, and Bridges were nominated as alternates and will be admitted if a position is declined or if the dancer cannot make it for any reason. The All-Iowa Honor Dance Team will perform on March 7 at Wells Fargo Arena during halftime of the 4A championship game at the Iowa Girls’ State Basketball Tournament.
