Cruising over to Colfax, the PCM volleyball girls were looking for a decisive victory. However, the exact opposite happened, and the Tigerhawks stole the win on Oct 14. Losing three matches in a row, the Mustangs let the game get away from them. With final scores of 18-25, 23-25 and 23-25, the matches came down to the wire.
PCM sophomores Katie Vande Wall and Kayla Jennings led the night with 10 kills and 13 assists, respectively.
“Our main goal for the rest of this season and next year is improving every time we step on the floor,” Coach Mollie Keitges said.
Sometimes after a tough loss, motivation gets shaken. When asked about finding motivation to get better, junior Ashley Van Gorp said, “Mollie— she inspired me from the beginning when I started playing club ball. I probably would’ve never even thought about playing club ball without her being my coach. I never really realized any of my potential at all with the sport. Now, all I want to do is play and play and better myself. She made me realize my love of the game.”
