Boys take home first from sectionals

by Tyler Foster

Last Friday, May 13, the PCM boys’ varsity golf team took action in Conrad for the sectionals round. The team took first place overall and shot 262 as a whole.
Sophomore Dayton Boell led the team with an overall score of 76. Junior Ryan Hill followed Boell with an 82, and senior Reid Jenkins and freshman Andrew Van Ryswyk each finished with 83. Another pair came after, as sophomores Jackson Thomas and Noah Lanphier each shot 91.
“It was a good feeling, and I kinda felt really relieved. It was good to get that win first round so we could continue to build on that going forward,” said Hill.
With a victory, the PCM boys will now head to districts in Dike on Friday, May 20.
