Mustang boys sat “fore”well to offseason

by Logan Gilman

In blustery and chilly conditions, the Mustang boys’ golf team packed their bags and headed to Harvest Point Golf Course in Oskaloosa on April 5. PCM walked away from the meet victorious with a score of 161.
PCM was successful in defeating Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont and Lynville-Sully. The squad dominated the meet, taking home the top four individual scores. Senior Reid Jenkins was the medalist of the meet, shooting a 36. Sophomore Noah Lanphier took home second place by carding a 41, and sophomore Dayton Boell and junior Ryan Hill finished tied for third with a 42.
Jenkins said, “We played pretty good in the weather conditions. But I think the scores can get lower.”
Jenkins has some individual goals going forward as well. “I played pretty well. My approach shots were where I was best. I need to continue working on my putting.”
