For the past three Mondays, the PCM baseball program has hosted a hitting camp from grades two through seven. The camp was started to give kids a chance to interact with the coaches and players of the PCM baseball team.
Head Baseball Coach Shaun Hudnut said, “The kids get to interact with kids they look up to, and our players can give back to our community at the same time.”
The one thing that sticks out the most about this camp opposed to others is that it’s free.
Hudnut said, “In our free camp, I wanted to give our local kids and families a chance to receive some free instruction in pitching and/or hitting with no strings attached. It benefits the kids and our future as a program.”
The high school baseball program is always more than happy to help out every chance they get.
Hudnut said, “Hopefully, the kids and parents can take away a thought or technique that they can incorporate into their playing experience. Not only do we give some physical instruction, but some insight into how powerful your mind and thought process is to your success.”
