Senior Emily Hugen said, β€œ
I think the main thing at the end of the game that helped us secure to win was our help defense. Everybody was working their tail off to help one another. Everyone was mentally tough.”
Juniors Kayla Jennings and Kaylee Townsend each had their best offensive nights as a Mustang, scoring their career highs of 21 and 17, respectively. Jennings also had four steals, three blocks and two assists. Junior Jayci Vos had nine points and five steals in the game, as well.
Hugen said, β€œIt was a rush to win a game in overtime. It was electric.”
