Mustang wrestlers win two at Pleasantville

On Tuesday, Dec. 8, the PCM Mustang wrestlers crossed the Great Lake of Iowa and headed down to Pleasantville for a quadrangular meet against Sigourney, Bondurant-Farra, and the host, Pleasantville. The Mustangs defeated Bondurant-Farrar and Pleasantville but fell to the tenth-ranked team in class 1A, Sigourney.
The Mustangs started the night off with a 41-35 victory over Bondurant-Farrar. Following that, the Mustangs were defeated by Sigourney, 42-39. The PCM boys finished the meet on a high note by beating Pleasantville 43-36.
Three wrestlers went 3-0 for the Mustangs: Junior Xavier Miller, senior Nathan Trausch, sophomore Caleb Peter and freshman Jarron Trausch.
Four Mustang grapplers went 2-1 on the night: Juniors James Maggard, Chace Palm and Jakeb Fenton and freshman Kaeden Van Soelen.
J. Trausch said, “I was really hyped to get my first high school matches in, and I was really excited to win them all.”
