Q: Why did you want to join the team?
A: I wanted to join tennis because it seems like fun

A: I’m hoping to find an activity that I would like to do in college
Q: What is something you’re nervous or excited about going into the new season?
A: I’m excited to have the experience and learn
Q: What is one goal you have for yourself as a player?
A: I want to get better at consistency and accuracy
Pyper Haines:
Q: Why did you want to join the team?
A: Pella said no to us about joining, so we went to Knoxville. Mainly because I thought getting back into tennis would be a good thing for me.
Q: What are you hoping to learn or get out of this season?
A: Hopefully be as good as one of the other girls on the varsity team whom we think highly of.
Q: What is something you’re nervous or excited about going into the new season?
A: I’m mainly nervous about the meet against Clark because they’re really good and have a really good team. As long as we keep practicing and tell ourselves that we can do our best, then that’s all we need.
Q: What is one goal you have for yourself as a player?
A: Getting better at my serves, they get into the box sometimes, but not fully, so working on getting better at my serves and the aim.
Hannah Minteer:
Q: Why did you want to join the team?
A: It’s something new I’ve never done before, an opportunity I’ve never had.
Q: What are you hoping to learn or get out of this season?
A: Learning a new sport, getting to spend time with my friends before I move for college.
Q: What is something you’re nervous or excited about going into the new season?
A: I’m excited to keep learning different things and get better as a player.
Q: What is one goal you have for yourself as a player?
A: Learn the rules a bit more because it’s my first year ever doing it so I need to learn the ins and outs of tennis.
Kambrey Rochon:
Q: Why did you want to join the team?
A: I thought it would be a good fill-in for track, because I was going to do this, but I thought tennis would be more fun, and I’ve never done it before, so it’s a good learning experience.
Q: What are you hoping to learn or get out of this season?
A: I’m hoping to meet more people; the Knoxville girls are really nice, so I’m hoping to get some long-lasting friendships out of it.
Q: What is something you’re nervous or excited about going into the new season?
A: I’m excited to have the experience of being on a team again because I haven’t done a team sport in a while.
Q: What is one goal you have for yourself as a player?
A: Just to not get so down on myself when I miss something because that happens, and also just accuracy and good sportsmanship.
