Caitlin Clark is now with the Indiana Fever and was picked with 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA draft. When Clark was in her last season with the Iowa Hawkeyes her stats averaged about 34.2 minutes, 32.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 8.7 assist, 1.7 steals, 0.5 blocks, 4.6 turnovers. From the field it’s 46.5 field goal percentage, 39.3 3-point field goal percentage 85.1 free throw percentage with her last season with the Hawkeyes. From those stats you can tell that she is a very good basketball player. Many people think that she changed the game for women’s basketball because there is more eye on women basketball. Last couple of years both college and WNBA women’s basketball didn’t have as many views as men’s basketball/NBA did. But now it’s changed all because of Caitlin Clark having highlights play every game she played in. Caitlin Clark first game with the Indiana Fever more than 13,000 fans showed up at the game. Clark had 12 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and she made 4-of-12 from the field for long shots and 2-of-9 from deep shots but the Indiana Fever won the game. Last season at the Indiana Fever games the attendance was around 4,000 every game. Clark said “I thought they were loud, I thought they were into it,” she said. “It was fun to see some people in some Iowa stuff and then a lot of people in Fever gear. This is a preseason game on a Thursday night and there’s 13,000 people here.I think that just shows what it’s going to be like for us all season and it’s going to help us”. The Clark effect is still alive, then she left college and now with a WNBA still getting a lot of hype at her basketball games.
