Sometimes it’s good weather and sometimes it’s bad weather here in Iowa. One day it could be all sunny and nice but at the end of the day it could be cold and tornadoes all across the state. Iowa has always been like this since I was a little kid. The weather finally getting nice seems to make everyone in the school a lot happier because everyone likes it when it’s nice out. Sports are always better when it’s warm as well, so they don’t have to wear a bunch of layers to go outside. The nice weather does come with some rain, but most would take some rain over snow in April. It always depends on whether the groundhog sees its shadow or not if we may have cold weather into April. As an athlete I hope to have an early spring so practices and early meets are better so I don’t have to worry as much about having tighter muscles.

On nice days people can wear shorts and a t-shirt instead of having to wear sweatpants and a sweatshirt just to stay warm. There pretty much are no negatives to good weather. Some may say you sweat a lot but that’s a positive thing especially if you’re trying to lose weight. You can go to the beach when the lake warms up, you can get a nice tan, and plenty more. One thing I really like to do when it starts to get warm outside is go ride my longboard around town. The sun feels nice keeping my skin warm as the breeze runs through the hairs on my arms and legs. I love good weather, even the rainy days. You may not be able to do as many things when it’s raining but you can look forward to that beautiful rainbow that follows the rain. Most attitudes are just brighter when it’s nice outside. The sun seems to bring out the good in a lot of people. When people are in a good mood that makes school a lot more fun. School seems to drag along most days but when everyone is in a good mood the day is just a lot better.
