The PCM boys’ basketball team extended their winning streak to 5-0 in their away game at Nevada on Dec. 12. The game was tied at half, but the Mustangs pulled away during the second half winning 66-42.
When asked if their performance so far is any indication on postseason performance Worth replied,
“It’s the main goal for us, but it’s not be given to us. We have to take it one game at a time and see what happens.”
Seniors Elijah Sperfslage and Jackson Thomas, and juniors Reed Worth and Andrew VanRyswyk each put up double digits on the night. Worth with a game high put up 21 points.
Worth said, “It says that anybody on the team can score. We have a had a different leading scorer every game so far. We are becoming a very versatile basketball team and need to keep playing hard and getting better.”
