My top five favorite streaming services
April 30, 2023
Since the beginning of time, people wanted to be entertained from a family from the 40s, to gathering around to listen to the radio, to a child from the ’80s watching PBS kids because they couldn’t afford cable. Well, it’s 2023 and all those things are obsolete. And now it’s all about streaming services, and I’m going to tell you my top five streaming services that I like to use.
Coming in our number one spot for best streaming services Is Netflix. Netflix is a very popular streaming service known for its binge-worthy shows like Riverdale, Supernatural, and SquidGames. Netflix also is known for its original series and is one of the only streaming services to develop its own series. But I don’t really have any great animated shows anymore.
That actually takes us to our number two spot Hulu. Hulu is a streaming service just like Netflix but less focused on binge-worthy shows. They are known for their anime TV shows like Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers and previously The Simpsons. Not many people watch The Simpsons on Hulu anymore because it is free on Disney Plus.
This takes us to our number three spot Disney Plus. I can bet you’ve watched a Disney movie at least once in your lifetime, and Disney Plus is the Holy Grail of Disney movies. It has old Disney cartoons and new ones, too. Most importantly, people watch it because it is one of the only places you can watch The Simpsons. But thanks to one other previous CEO, Disney has bought out Star Wars, Marvel, and National Geographic.
Speaking of National Geographic, that takes us to our number fourth spot which is held by Discovery Plus. Discovery Plus like Disney Plus has many TV shows and movies but Discovery Plus mainly focuses more on documentaries or live-action shows like Ghost Adventures or Fixer Upper. There are many types of shows on there which include paranormal shows, as well as home improvement shows and true crime documentaries to name a few.
Now for the number 5 spot that will have to go to Comedy Central. Comedy Central is well known for helping produce the hit TV show South Park but that’s just it. Many people don’t really like to watch the other shows on Comedy Central; they really just like South Park. I can also prove this because it is actually the top show on Comedy Central right now.
But in the end, there will probably be something else to replace streaming services after like 15 years, and it will most likely be YouTube. You can watch just about anything on YouTube, up to and including pirated shows from other streaming services that cost money to use. So next time you’re probably watching one of these streaming services, remember you can get it for free on YouTube somehow.
