Class of 2015 to Chicago

by Gwen Pearson

Recently, the graduating class voted on where to go for their upcoming senior trip. Those who thought they might be interested in going on the trip voted between four cities — the Wisconsin Dells, Chicago, St. Louis and Kansas City, Mo., with Chicago receiving the most votes. The current plan is to set off for Chicago on the afternoon of Monday, May 18, and return on Wednesday, May 20.
The students who wish to go on the senior trip have yet to sign up, so not everything has been put together. The cost has yet to be determined, though Mike Vittetoe, math teacher at the high school and head sponsor of the senior trip, believes it will be around $200 per person, but it would be best to save up $250. The itinerary has also not been determined, but it will be put together once the seniors have had the chance to give their input on what they would rather do during their stay in Chicago.
The seniors can choose from going to see the White Sox, who will be at home during that time, Six Flags Great America, the Sears Tower or the Hancock Building. Other possible activities would include the Museum of Science and Industry, Shed Aquarium and visiting Michigan Ave. There are many potential activities to do on their trip to Chicago, and the seniors will have a tough choice on what to do on their short stay.
