Girls’ basketball head coach Jeff Lindsey now has another head coaching position for the Mustangs. Lindsey, who teaches at Colfax-Mingo, was recently named head baseball coach taking over for Shaun Hudnut who resigned after the summer season. Lindsey has been the assistant baseball coach for the Mustangs for seven years.
Taking over the helm of two teams can be a lot of work, though Lindsey doesn’t seem too worried about that. When asked about how he would feel about coaching both teams he said, “This is what I do other than being a teacher. Playing or coaching sports has been my life; that’s the way I’m wired. Helping and teaching kids to become better at a given sport is what I love doing.”
“Ever since I’ve gotten into the coaching profession I have usually coached multiple sports, so it’s not a big adjustment for me; I look forward to it. I feel very grateful for the opportunity to coach at PCM. It’s a very good school and community with a rich athletic history and two sports I have a passion for.”
