PCM FFA members traveled to Louisville, KY on Oct. 29 – Nov. 1 for the 87th Annual National FFA
Convention. The students who went were seniors Rachel Freland, Tyler Townsend, Jarod DeVries and Michael Birkenholtz; junior Emily Hugen; and sophomores Bailey Brodersen and Josie Branderhorst, along with Ag Teacher Ms Nichole Gent.
“My favorite thing from the convention would have to be the sessions,” Brodersen said. “Also having fun meeting new people.”
The students were chosen by Gent by filling out applications. The students who went were active leaders in that chapter.
The FFA members went to many events in Louisville. They attended a concert starring country musicians Scotty McCreery and Danielle Brandbury concert, attended leadership workshops and convention sessions and listened speakers and took farm tours.
Gent said, “I think the students gained a great experience and were able to take back valuable skills to their officer team and our chapter.”
