Last week, the PCM boys’ varsity golf team had a variety of tournaments and started the week with an 18-hole meet at Terrace Hills in Altoona hosted by Bondurant-Farrar. The team took second overall with a score of 351 total.
Individually, senior Reid Jenkins led the way at Terrace Hills, shooting a 79 and taking second overall. Junior Ryan Hill finished fifth with an 86. Sophomore Noah Lanphier accounted for a 92. Fellow sophomore Dayton Boell and freshman Reed Worth each shot a 94. Senior Logan Gilman rounded out the team, shooting an even 100.
At their next meet on Thursday, April 14, the team finished in fourth place with a 355 team score. Jenkins led the way again, scoring an 86. Gilman came through next with a solid round of 88 and Boell carded an 89. Worth was able to strike up a 92, while junior Braden Phifer and Hill finished 94 and 96, respectively.
The Mustangs’ next meet will be home on Monday, April 25, at Gateway Recreational Golf Course with a roughly 1 p.m. start.
